Study spaces for students - the latest information

Students are always hoping to find somewhere they can study without being interrupted, when they are between exams or before they need to go to work. The opportunity to go quickly over notes or to write practice answers can be very useful.

During Swot Vac, you may have the luxury of whole days or evenings where you can concentrate on your studies and ensure you have revised important elements of your course. Read our tips for effective exam preparation if you are having trouble working out the best approach to take.

The libraries are conducive places for study, being open long hours and offering comfortable modern facilities.  Caulfield Library is open until midnight during the week, and Matheson Library, at Clayton, is open until 2am for extended study on Monday to Thursday, from week 12 until the second week of exams. You may also be able to book a discussion room at one of the libraries if you want to work with others. Check library opening hours.

There is also accommodation in other campus locations like the Learning and Teaching Building at Clayton or Building K level 2 at Caulfield. Some of them may be open 24 x 7, for those who are up for studying all they want (don't forget, however, that it's best to balance study with your well-being).

Check the listing of places on campus where you can study between exams to find out if there is a location that will suit you.
